Figura Magazine

Figura explores the fundamental questions of human existence through the voices of individuals. Each issue tackles a universal theme and unfolds as a collective narrative. We are not searching for absolute truths or fixed answers but for perspectives. Every contribution—be it a text, a photograph, a poem, a video, or other form—is a unique lens through which to glimpse a bigger picture, to the universal questions that binds us humans. Figura exists to offer a space for expression and dialogue, a free and fertile ground where to ask questions and where a variety of answers can take shape.

In this issue, we invite contributors and readers to reflect on the idea of faith. What does faith mean? The first thought might be of religion, but it goes beyond that. Faith can be a political act. It can be intimate, or shared by many. Faith can be a bold claim or a quiet whisper, but always carries intensity, always involves something personal. Faith is a human need, and we live what we believe in, often with a surprising strength. Faith has the power of changing a personal gesture to a shared experience by laying in the blurred and uncertain space between the personal and the shared. Where does faith happen? What does it look like? Does it lead somewhere? Does it generate results? Is it something present, something that takes shape? Or is it absent? Invisible? Silent? What does it mean to believe? Can we still have faith nowadays? This issue is an open exploration. We don’t want to define faith, but to collect traces of it, whether it’s faith in a god, in another person, in an idea, in a system, a practice, in ourselves, or in what comes next. We want to follow that thread that ties fragility to hope. Faith as resistance. Faith as need. Faith as a gesture.
